P40 Armchair by Fasem
The P40 Armchair by Fasem is the ideal dining and office armchair, with a steel frame in various Fasem finishes. The seat and backrest are lightly padded and covered with Fasem's full-grain hide leather. The backrest, which extends seamlessly into the armrests, both in the frame and in the upholstery, accentuates the sinuosity and elegance.
The P40 was designed by Gianfranco Gualtierotti and Giancarlo Vegni. Born in Rome in 1944, Gualtierott has developed an in-depth technical knowledge of materials from the studies on polyurethane begun in collaboration with Permaflex in the late 1960s to those on the technical design of seats for aircraft ( from DC-9 and DC-10 to Airbus). He has collaborated with prestigious architecture firms, including those of Natalini, Toraldo di Francia, and Piva, and has won important awards both in Italy and abroad.
Giancarlo Vegni studied at the Art School of Cascina in Pisa. During the 1980s, Vegni introduced numerous innovative solutions in the design of kitchens. Since then, he has expanded his interests and gone on to design a wide range of products and important interiors. His predilection for clean signs, round lines, and modular geometries characterizes his work and the work of the design studio he leads.
