Of the myriad of furniture and architectural designs created by Eero Saarinen, the Pedestal Series and the Saarinen Tulip Table continue to be the most iconic. The series was introduced in New York in 1958 and featured a comprehensive range of furnishings, including tulip-style dining tables, coffee tables, side tables, side chairs, and armchairs. Though a lounge chair was designed, it was not put into mass production. Saarinen’s Pedestal Series received a strong response, and it quickly became a commercial success.

The Saarinen tabletop is available in a wide variety of stones and laminates, including the ever-popular white Carrara and black Marquina.
This Saarinen Tulip Table has a lacquered cast aluminum base in white or black and stands 28 1/4" in height. The Saarinen table base is treated with a clear protective finish to resist scratches, stains, and scuffs. Saarinen table stone tops are protected with a natural wax finish.
Made in Italy.
