The Flute Floor Lamp was designed for FontanaArte by Franco Raggi in 1999. The Flute is a lamp that embodies two ideas: the reduction of design to its minimum terms and the decomposition of the object into its structural and technological parts. Hence the concept of the stem that dissolves into the transparency of glass but accommodates the light source in the terminal flare, almost a solidified liquid suspended in the void of a long champagne glass. Its colorlessness, transparency, and mirror finish make Flute almost stylistically neutral but certainly not inconspicuous.
