The 822 Seating Collection by Ton is a contemporary restyled version of Josef Hoffmann's A811 chair, first designed in 1929. This contemporary range was created in a partnership between the legendary bentwood manufacturer Ton and the Swedish studio Claesson Koivisto Rune.
In this seating series, first introduced in 2022, the partners have created a new version that gains a unique character from the graphic dot perforations in the plywood seat and backrest. These design principles have been applied to a chair, stool, armchair, and lounge chair.
The series is available in natural beechwood, stained beechwood, or lacquered beechwood.
Made in the Czech Republic by Ton.
